The 120V 1000w heating element is suitable for operation in the MP-1 (Model numbers A440266 and A440267) Thermo Scientific Barnstead Mega-Pure Glass Stills.

The LabStrong heating element offers a new and improved design that is directly compatible to the Thermo Fisher Scientific™ Barnstead™ part numbers 740880. The heating element converts electricity into heat through the process of Joule heating. Electric current through the element encounters resistance, resulting in heating of the element. The heating of the element causes the water in the boiler of the glass still to boil. This heating allows for the process of distillation to occur. The heating element provides outstanding quality at a lower cost than the competitor’s.
