LabStrong™ Rapids™ Notification Code E009 | Lost Communication With Control Board
You have been directed to this page because you scanned a QR code on the LabStrong™ Rapids™ Type I Water Purification System.
If your Rapids is displaying this error, there are two common causes:
For a potential quick solution to this issue, power down the Rapids™ and power it back on.
To verify if the Rapids™ Control Board freezing is the issue, complete the following before powering down the Rapids™:
- Remove the blue cover from the Rapids™
- Identify the Control Board, labeled PC0033-1
- Look for the two heartbeat lights blinking back and forth (labeled D1&D2 and D3&D4)
- If both sets (D1&D2 and D3&D4) are alternating flashes, the control board is NOT frozen. Power cycling likely will not solve the issue.

- Remove the blue cover from the Rapids™
- Unplug and replug both ends of the USB cable attached to the Rapids™ Display
